Pittsburgh, PA. Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation today announced that its
Cutler-Hammer® brand sensors and motor starters were recently voted best in the marketplace in a customer satisfaction
survey commissioned by industry-leading publication Control Engineering. Cutler-Hammer products placed first in the
Photoelectric and Proximity Sensor, as well as Solid-State Motor Starter categories.
"We are very happy to be recognized by the readers of Control Engineering," said Jim McGill, General Manager/Vice-President,
Industrial Controls Division at Eaton's electrical business. "These awards reflect our commitment to provide our customers
with the industry's best products and services through a solutions approach to customer needs, R&D and manufacturing
processes, and our services and support group."
Sixteen product categories and 92 manufacturers were included in the Control Engineering Customer Satisfaction Survey, and
over 2,300 responses were tallied. A weighting algorithm was developed that produced customer satisfaction index values.
An index value of 100 was a perfect score.
Cutler-Hammer branded products scored an index value of 86.19 in topping the photoelectric & proximity sensor category and
an index value of 75.45 in getting highest honors in the solid-state motor starters. Eaton was the only company to capture
top positions in two different product categories.
